Vivo V50 colour variants revealed, claims to be the slimmest 6,000 mAh battery phone

Vivo on Tuesday (February 4, 2025) announced three colour variants of its upcoming smartphone launch of Vivo V50. Even though the launch date is yet to be revealed by the Chinese brand, the Vivo V50 has been confirmed to ship in Rose Red, Starry Night Blue and Titanium Gray shades in India.

With the V series, Vivo targets the design-centric users transitioning between mid to premium segment. The series is known to bring many firsts like India’s first colour changing technology in the V23 series, aura light in the V27 and V29 series.

The V50 also claims to be India’s slimmest smartphone in the 6,000 mAh battery category, the company claims. According to Vivo, the Titanium Gray V50 is 0.739 cm thick, while the Rose Red measures 0.757 cm, and the Starry Night Blue model is of 0.767 cm.

“For those who appreciate rich, warm tones, the Rose Red variant of the V50 will be a true visual delight,” the company said.

“The Starry Night variant of the V50 will be ‘India’s first 3D-Star technology’ phone. Under direct sunlight or focused indoor lighting, the panel shimmers like a star-studded night sky. The effect is dynamic, with holographic dots elongating into meteor-like streaks under elongated light sources or glowing softly under circular lights.”

The Vivo V50 is going to ship with a quad-curved display, first time ever in a V series. It is expected to be a 6.7 inch display with a 120 Hz refresh rate.

Under the hood, the V50 might use Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor with up to 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. FuntouchOS would run in it based upon Android 15 out of the box.

It is likely to sport a 50 MP ZEISS-tuned main camera and a telephoto of similar resolution. Being a camera-centric phone too, it may bring a 50 MP front camera.

Vivo V50 is expected to launch during the mid of February in India.
