Apple CEO Tim Cook announces ‘newest family member’ for February 19

Apple CEO Tim Cook announced the launch of a new Apple device on Thursday, February 13, 2025, through X (formerly Twitter). He tweeted, “Get ready to meet the newest member of the family.”

The announcement has led to speculation about the launch of the iPhone SE 4, which is expected to be unveiled on February 19. However, Apple has not provided any further details about the upcoming event.

Mr. Cook only shared a glowing Apple logo in a metallic finish.

If the launch is indeed for the iPhone SE 4, Apple aims to generate buzz and attract attention before the start of Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025, which begins on March 4.

The iPhone SE 4 is rumoured to feature a smaller display with a 4.7-inch resolution. It could also have a significant upgrade in the main camera, moving from 12 MP to 48 MP. Additionally, there are speculations that the selfie camera may increase from 7 MP to 8 MP.

Apple is expected to equip the iPhone SE 4 with the A18 processor, along with 6 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of storage. However, the battery capacity remains a mystery, as Apple has not ever disclosed it but promises a full day of battery life on any of its products.

While the iPhone SE 4 is the most anticipated product, there are other possibilities, such as AR glasses, AirPods, or new MacBooks. However, the exact nature of the product remains uncertain.
