Vivo V50 launched in India with ZEISS camera and 6,000 mAh battery

Vivo on Monday (February 17, 2025) launched the Vivo V50 smartphone in India featuring ZEISS-tuned camera. The Vivo V50 succeeds the Vivo V40 series launched last year. However, in 2025, the Chinese smartphone maker only launched the base variant which is Vivo V50 that caters to premium segment buyers in India.

The Vivo V50 has a 6.77 inch quad-curved punch hole AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and 4,500 nits peak brightness.

The V50 ships with a 6,000 mAh battery supported by a 90 W charger inside the box.

Vivo has used Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor in V50 with up to 12 GB RAM and 512 GB internal storage. It operates on FuntouchOS 15 based on Android 15 out of the box.

Vivo V50 sports a 50 MP main ZEISS camera with OIS along with a 50 MP ultrawide lens. It has a 50 MP front camera for selfies. The phone will continue to feature a soft aura light for dim lighting.

The V50 will be IP68 and IP69 rated for water and dust.

The Vivo V50 comes Rose Red, Starry Night Blue and Titanium Gray colour variants.

Vivo V50 starts at ₹34,999 for the 8 GB/128 GB variant, while the 8 GB/256 GB model comes at ₹36,999, and the 12 GB/512 GB unit has been priced at ₹40,999. It will sell on Amazon, Flipkart, and retail stores starting February 25.
