Nothing Phone 3a series confirmed to use a 50 MP periscope lens along with a 50 MP main camera

Nothing’s Phone 3a series will get a 50 MP periscope lens with 3x optical zoom, 6x in-sensor zoom, and 60x ultra zoom, the London-based tech startup announced on Tuesday (February 18, 2025). The Phone 3a series 50 MP periscope camera would be able to shoot macro shots, and 70 mm portrait.

Nothing is expected to launch Phone 3a and Phone 3a Pro on March 4 at 3:30 PM IST. The new series expands on the Phone 2a series.

Nothing also confirmed that the Phone 3a series will have a 50 MP main camera that allows 64% more light at a pixel level compared to Phone 2a.

“Additionally, all four sensors support Ultra HDR photo output and the main and front support 4K video recording with stable footage and night enhancement.”

Nothing’s TrueLens engine 3.0 uses a combination of AI tone mapping and scene detection to enhance photography, the company claims.

Nothing has already announced that Phone 3a series will run Snapdragon processor.

Phone 3a series is likely to use a 6.7 inch display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. They might use a 5,000 mAh battery in both the phones.
