Instagram has added message scheduling and pinning to its direct messaging feature, Meta announced in a blog post. Messages can also be scheduled ahead in DMs on the platform. Up to three DMs can also be pinned now on the top of a chat. Besides the new “Translate” option, the “Pin” option also shows up.
With this update, users will also be able to translate their DMs into 99 different languages. They can just click on the message they want to translate and choose “Translate”, which appears in the drop-down action menu with Reply, Forward and Copy.
Additionally, users can now share music through their DMs by clicking on the sticker icon at the bottom, next to the message box and finding the new music icon. This will help everyone in a chat to listen to the same song at the same time without leaving Instagram.
Now, users can also invite people to a group chat directly by scanning a QR code.
Instagram has said they are rolling out the features globally.
