Samsung on Thursday (February 27, 2025) launched the Galaxy M16 5G and Galaxy M06 5G smartphones in India. The new M series phones cater to budget and mid segment buyers.
The Galaxy M16 5G will get 6 generations of OS updates and 6 years of security updates whereas the Galaxy M06 5G promises 4 OS upgrades and 4 years of security updates.
Both, Galaxy M16 5G and Galaxy M06 5G are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor with 128 GB internal storage. The Galaxy M16 5G offers RAM up to 8 GB, while the Galaxy M06 has up to 6 GB only.
Both, Galaxy M16 5G and Galaxy M06 5G have a 5,000 mAh battery and they support 25 W charging.

Galaxy M16 5G has a 6.7 inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display while the Galaxy M06 5G features a 6.7 inch HD+ display.
The Galaxy M16 5G sports a 50 MP main camera, a 5 MP ultrawide lens and a 2 MP macro camera. It has a 13 MP front camera.
Galaxy M06 5G comes with a 50 MP main lens and a 2 MP depth camera. It has an 8 MP front camera.
Both devices also feature Samsung’s Knox Vault for hardware-based security. Galaxy M16 5G and Galaxy M06 5G include features like Voice Focus, which reduces ambient noise.
The Galaxy M06 5G starts at an introductory price of ₹9,499 for the 6 GB/128 GB while the 8 GB/128 GB variant costs ₹10,999. It goes on sale starting March 7 on Amazon, Samsung and retail stores.
