Elon Musk-led DOGE invites job applications for a range of positions

The U.S. Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), led by billionaire Elon Musk, has invited applications for a range of tech, finance, and HR positions. DOGE aims to reduce what it feels is unnecessary federal expenditure, as it pushes for cuts in diversity schemes.

“The DOGE Team is looking for world-class talent to work long hours identifying/eliminating waste, fraud, and abuse. These are full-time, salaried positions for software engineers, InfoSec engineers, financial analysts, HR professionals, and, in general, all competent/caring people. Apply here!” posted the DOGE organisation on X on January 27.

It also included a link to the join.doge.gov website, which was blocked for The Hindu at the time of writing.

The U.S. president’s Department of Government Efficiency was established via an executive order on January 20. It is set to be terminated in the summer of 2026.

While DOGE was meant to be co-led by Musk and biotech entrepreneur-politician Vivek Ramaswamy, the latter has since left the proposed department.
